Privacy Policy — Simple Todo

This policy may be provided in multiple languages. The Japanese version is the authoritative version. If there is any discrepancy between a translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version controls.

1. Introduction

Simple Todo (the “App”) is a simple to-do list app: add a task, check it off. It also offers subtasks and colored labels. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the App and how it is handled.

2. Information the App Collects

Information stored only on your device

Your tasks, subtasks, labels (name and color), completion state, and theme (light/dark) and display language settings are stored only on your device. This information is never sent to any external server, there is no cloud sync, and it is deleted when you uninstall the App.

The App does not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or address. No account registration is required.

Information collected by a third party for ad delivery (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to display banner ads. Google may collect and process the following for ad delivery, personalization, and fraud prevention:

• Advertising identifiers (iOS IDFA, Android advertising ID)
• Information about ad views and taps
• Approximate location inferred from IP address
• Technical information such as device type and OS version

This information is processed under Google’s privacy policy. The App’s developer does not separately collect or retain this information.

Tracking on iOS: The App may ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, for example on first launch. If granted, IDFA is used to deliver personalized ads. The App’s to-do list functionality is unaffected if you decline.

3. What the App Does Not Use

The following are included in the App’s build but are disabled in the current version and do not collect any information:

• Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics — not initialized because no Firebase project is configured
• In-app purchases (RevenueCat) — not enabled; the App has no paid features or subscriptions

If either of these is enabled in the future, this policy will be updated first.

4. Purpose of Use

• Information stored on your device is used only for the App’s operation (saving and restoring your tasks, labels, and settings).
• Information sent to third parties (advertising identifiers, etc.) is used only for ad delivery, personalization, and fraud prevention.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

The information described above is processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policies.

Information is not disclosed to any third party other than as described above.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. How to Limit Ad Personalization

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off “Personalized Ads”, or set the App’s tracking permission to “Ask App Not to Track”
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID”

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is changed, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date revised. Significant changes will be announced within the App.
