Privacy Policy — Simple Calculator

This policy may be provided in multiple languages. The Japanese version is the authoritative version. If there is any discrepancy between a translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version controls.

1. Introduction

Simple Calculator (the “App”) is a calculator app supporting the four basic operations and parentheses, along with unit conversion (length, weight, volume, area, and temperature) and calculations using units you define yourself (e.g. “1 gold coin = 17 silver coins”). This policy explains what information is collected when you use the App and how it is handled.

2. Information the App Collects

Information stored only on your device

Your display language and theme (light/dark) settings, and any custom units you define, are stored only on your device. They are never sent externally and are deleted when you uninstall the App. The calculations themselves also exist only on your device and are never sent externally or stored elsewhere.

The App does not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or address. No account registration is required.

Information collected by third parties for advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google may collect and process the following for ad delivery, personalization, and fraud prevention:

Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
Information about ad impressions and taps
Approximate location inferred from IP address
Technical information such as device type and OS version

This information is processed under Google’s privacy policy. The App’s developer does not separately collect or store this information.

About tracking on iOS: The App may request App Tracking Transparency permission on first launch or similar. If granted, IDFA is used to deliver personalized ads. The App’s calculator functionality remains fully usable even if you decline.

Usage analytics and crash reporting (Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics)

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, which send the following information to Google:

App usage information (screen views, feature usage frequency, etc.)
Diagnostic information when the App crashes or encounters an error (where it occurred, device type, OS version, etc.)

This information is collected without being linked to personally identifiable information such as your name or email address, and is used only to fix bugs and improve the App.

3. What the App Does Not Use

In-app purchases — not implemented. The App has no paid features or subscriptions.

4. Purpose of Use

Data stored on your device is used only for the App’s operation (saving and restoring settings)
Information sent to third parties (advertising identifiers, usage information, crash diagnostics) is used only for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and improving App quality

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

The information described above is processed by Google in accordance with each service’s privacy policy.

We do not disclose information to any third party other than those listed above.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. How to Limit Ad Personalization

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off “Personalized Ads”, or set the App’s tracking permission to “Ask App Not to Track”
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID”

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is changed, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Significant changes will be announced within the App.
